Scúnar Teoranta uses Siemens S7-1200 PLC with a CP1242-7 modem. This will work with any network provider in Ireland or any country. The data can be transferred to a central server at intervals from 15 seconds up to daily or on an event.

If it’s only SMS you need there is no need for the data SIM. There is no requirement for a fixed IP address SIM card.

The PLC can send or receive Text messages to/from any authorised phone.

SMS alarms keep sending until the alarm is acknowledged by reply text. There can be 5 users programmed into the PLC.
